‘On behalf of Friends of Steep Church (FOSC) and the Rosemary Foundation, a Charity Auction will be held in Steep Village Hall on 28th November.
Tickets for the event are £15 each and are available from One Tree Books (01730 261199). They include canapes (kindly donated by No Fuss Catering) and supper. A cash bar will open at 6 p.m. and the auction will commence after supper at 8 p.m.
The sale will comprise a mixture of ‘promises’ – anything from a hot air balloon ride to a day’s fishing on the Test, and a round of golf to a fast RIB ride to the Isle of Wight – as well as some artwork and other properties, the whole being donated by generous supporters. In all, 20 lots will be on offer.
It promises to be a fun community event so do put the date in your diaries.’
